Xerox and HP have built up a formidable reputation over the years as a provider of innovative print products and solutions with first class customer care.
Xerox has been dominating the SME market for a number of years as it strives to address key issues from reducing costs and in more recent times, environmental issues. Products such as its ColorQube 9200 series has led the way in helping companies to reduce costs and has helped reduce colour page costs by 90%.
This has been marketed through more traditional marketing channels whilst being heavily supported through social media. Xerox has set up large numbers of groups in Linked In as well as Twitter that feed regular information with particular emphasis on the SME market. Posts on Twitter such as Interactive Buyer’s Guide and cash back schemes are just two examples of helpful information that is currently being broadcast via its “XeroxSME” Account.
Xerox domination in the UK print solutions market has been secured thanks to its informative approach in social media and regular offers. Small businesses continue to be challenged by time constraints, Xerox has championed key online platforms such as Linked In and Twitter enabling them to continue to generate sales whilst providing exceptional client care standards.
HP has also thrown its weight behind its social media and online marketing as last month’s launch of the “Laserjet Pays You Back” marketing campaign clearly highlighted. During its recent launch in June, HP claims businesses could save $2,500 (£1,700) by purchasing one of their new printers. We are still receiving Google Alerts from all around the world as B2B news sites and regional papers continue to cover the story.
HP has an enviable track record and now has over 50 Groups for employees, subsidiary companies and obviously its clients. It also has numerous Twitter accounts all targeted at their specific markets and all with thousands of followers. This is supported via its Facebook accounts – all easy to use, accessible to clients all around the world – and all offering a personal and friendly tone.
Here at Xeretec, we are embracing social media to support our existing clients and to help acquire new business thanks to our efforts on Linked In. Our next area of focus will be our Facebook page and we would welcome your input into topics of interest that you would like us to cover –after all social media is all about engagement right?
