Character DPM Group acquires firms

Character DPM Group has acquired three printing firms in the North West in a bid to to become afully integrated direct marketing services business.

The mailing and direct marketing company purchased Liverpool based Tech Litho and Tudor Print & Design along with APG Visual Colour in Stockport.

The acquisitions are expected to help the firm provide its customers with better direct marketing services.

The Aintree-based business is hoping to increase its turnover to more than £7.5 million, from £2.5 million. The acquisition is also expected to help boost profits from £50,000 to about £500,000.

Director John Leutton said: "To thrive in an ever changing market, it is essential to adapt to demand so we decided to position ourselves as a fully integrated direct marketing services business which was made possible by the acquisition of the three print houses, in addition we have made substantial investments in litho printing, digital colour and large format digital colour printing capability."
