The new Xerox(r) Color 1000 Press will be displayed on Fujifilm's stand at Ipex 2010 - a global technology trade event for print, publishing and media, it has been announced.
The latest press will be showcased in an Integrated Production area, together with the Xerox(r) 700 and DocuColor(tm) 7002 presses, XMF Workflow and Web2Print solutions.
This new 100 ppm device is capable of laying down a fifth clear toner as part of its five printing units. It makes use of Xerox(r)'s low melt, EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Dry Ink and new fusing technology.
The new press is a high-volume device which can print at 2400 x 2400 dpi, with its EA Dry Ink delivering an offset-like finish. The clear and dry ink enables images and text to be highlighted for visual impact.
The device's finishing options include a GBC Advanced Punch, High Capacity Stacker (single or dual) with removable carts, Xerox(r) Standard Finisher with optional C-Z Folder or Booklet Maker Finisher and SquareFold Trimmer.
With the help of these options, print service providers would be able to customise their Color 1000 to meet specific volume and application requirements.
It has been said that the Xerox(r) Tape Binder, GBC eBinder 200 and PlockMatic Pro 30 Professional Booklet Maker will also be released later.
