Computer firm HP has a new laptop on the market aimed at graphic designers and CAD operators.
The EliteBook 8740w Core i7 Notebook has a 17-inch screen, backlit with LED, and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Users can choose from an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor - the top of the range being Intel Core i7 1.73GHz 820QM - and the machine's graphics are provided by 1GB Nvidia Quadro and ATI FirePro. The laptop also has 16GB of RAM and can run off various 7200 RPM hard drives.
Two USB 3.0 ports are supplied, along with a two megapixel web camera, eSATA, VGA, RJ45, and Firewire. Any additional docking station must be bought separately.
EliteBook 8740w Core i7 costs between £1,339 and £2,680 and can be bought direct from HP.
