Event to discuss 'green' printing

A conference in London is set to discuss how print and packaging businesses can improve their cost-efficiency as well as their green credentials.

Industry body Vision in Print is organising the day-long event called "Winning the War on Waste" at the Lancaster London Hotel on November 22.

Firms will be advised on best practices in three key areas - improving productivity through the use of new technologies, reducing waste and the advantages of environmental management.

Some of the businesses that have benefited from these practices will detail their experiences, while other leading figures from the industry will present case studies elaborating the event's main theme.

Big industry names including Howitt, A1 Print, ESP Colour, Kingfisher, GI and Newsprinters Broxbourne are participating in the event. Guest speaker, Haymarket chairman Lord Heseltine, will deliver the keynote address.
