The consumer watchdog has unveiled a set of useful tips to help firms optimise printer utility and save money.
Katie Waller, senior researcher at Which?, said businesses aiming to reduce expenditure can do so by using their printers in a more economical fashion.
According to Ms Waller, one option is to use the draft or fast mode found on most devices. While firms will sacrifice very little in terms of quality, they will use less ink, she said.
Using alternative fonts too can minimise the use of ink, she said.
Switching off the printer at the end of each day without fail will help significantly reduce power utility and also boost the durability of the device.
Ms Waller said: "A lot of inkjet printers won't have a hard off button, so make sure you switch them off at the wall. Remember, it will be using energy even if it is just sitting there idle."
