Xerox is set to gain a new president of its Global Graphics Communications division, as Jeff Jacobson is due to join it later this month.
Formerly a chief executive at Presstek, Jacobson is no stranger to the print manufacturer industry, having previously worked for major companies such as Kodak. He spent five years as Kodak Polychome Graphics chief executive before climbing the ranks to chief operating officer of Kodak GCG.
Xerox technology president Armando Zagalo de Lima said that Jacobson's experience will help the company remain "a respected leader in helping graphics communications clients profit and grow their businesses with our digital printing solutions".
Jacobson's new role will incorporate global strategy, product development and sales and marketing. Jacobson will also support Xerox's production systems portfolio and related software and workflow products.
Stanley Freimuth, a former Fujifilm USA chief operating officer, will take over Jacobson's role at Presstek.
