Japanese-American firm Fuji Xerox has launched a new colour printer for the design and graphics arts markets.
The DocuColor 1450 GA is tailor-made for printing comps and proofs for pre-press verification of final layout.
The latest offering promises to fulfil all the needs of professional designers and artists.
It is based on the four-cycle system that guarantees high-quality images and colour stability.
The system produces output with high image quality, as it can control the colour drift and irregularity of each CMYK plate.
The DocuColor 1450 GA is equipped with EA-Eco toner that contains smaller and more uniform toner particles, which reduces the raised feel of the image surface, and since it is oil-free, the print quality matches that of the printing press.
The toner serves both energy-saving and image-quality purposes.
A newly-developed gloss control function allows users to regulate the amount of gloss in the printer paper.
