Fuji Xerox wins Australia contract

Fuji Xerox has secured a major new deal which will see it handle managed print services (MPS) for school across the Australian state of New South Wales.

Under the four-year agreement signed with the state Department of Education and Communities, Fuji Xerox will equip campuses with multi-function laser printers capable of carrying out print, copy and fax tasks.

Up to 2,200 educational institutions could be supplied 60,000 machines in partnership with HP Australia over the next few years.

Financial details of the deal were not revealed but the company said it is one of the biggest MPS contracts the Australian division of the company has won.

Fuji Xerox has already been working with the DEC providing infrastructure and services for the past three years and the latest contract extends the partnership.

DEC is currently running a "Pay as You Print Optimisation" scheme in campuses across the state and the company said its goal is to "assist the organisation in expanding its capabilities to provide first class print services to its staff and students".
