Publishers will be able to reach an even larger audience thanks to a selection of upgrades announced by HP for its MagCloud content publishing web service.
A simpler publishing process, a new MagCloud application for the HP TouchPad and a smaller digest size for publications are among the new features.
MagCloud Digest is a new compact publication format that, at 5.5-inches wide and 8.5-inches tall, gives publishers more flexibility to create magazines, portfolios, workbooks, catalogues and more in an ultra-portable print format.
With the streamlined publishing process, users simply select a product type, name the publication and upload a PDF to start publishing targeted content in both print and digital formats with speed and ease.
MagCloud Newsstand app for HP Touchpad uses functionality unique to webOS to bring publications to life. The app is planned to be available in the autumn.
Andrew Bolwell, chief MagClouder, HP, said: "We really focus on listening to our customers, and with their feedback we've been able to continually innovate and improve MagCloud's services and user experience.
"We look forward to offering publishers and small businesses more choice in how they create and distribute their targeted content, via an array of print and digital formats."
