HP boosts small-business solutions

New HP computer solutions designed to increase productivity at small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) are intended to provide a technology boost as the economy recovers.

The flexible and environmentally-friendly systems are an integral part of HP's Total Care portfolio, designed specifically for smaller businesses with minimal IT support.

Charl Snyman, VP of HP's Personal Systems Group in Europe, said: "Small and medium businesses represent a cornerstone of the economy, and HP is partnering with them to provide a technology boost as the economy rebounds.

"All businesses must find a reliable foundation upon which to build their futures, and for SMBs, HP's new offerings will help sustain their well-being and prepare them for upcoming growth."

They include the Pro 3010/3015 series business desktop PCs coupled with the Compaq LE1711 and LE1911 LCD monitors, all of which feature reduced power consumption.

And the growing need for high-intensity networking solutions is met by Virtual Rooms and Huddle.net, which include online meeting and conferencing facilities.

Meanwhile, e-mail, internet connectivity, remote access, file and printer sharing, data backup, and mobile support are catered for with the Thin Clients and Microsoft Small Business Server Solution bundle.

The line up also includes the ProCurve 2520 Switch Series, ProLiant ML110 and DL120 G6 Servers, StorageWorks D2D Backup System and LeftHand P4000 SAN.
