A staggering 1.07 billion colours are available on HP's new 30in display, which is about 64 times more than Apple's most expensive Cinema HD display.
In order to achieve "maximum accuracy", the latest HP flagship display - the ZR30w - boasts 4.1 million pixels over a resolution of 2560 x 1600 aspect ratio with a 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
A stand that can be adjusted six ways is made from at least 25% recycled resin and can tilt, swivel and provide height accurate positioning.
The display is equipped with DisplayPort and DVI-D inputs, integrated 4-port USB hub and an HP Quick Release for easy out-of-the-box set up.
Jun Kim, the vice president and general manager at Display Business Unit, HP, says: "The HP ZR30w is the latest example of our commitment to provide customers with the technology they demand to push the limits of creativity and increase ROI.
"HP continues to drive innovation in the monitor space with solutions that push the boundaries of traditional panel technology."
The HP zr30w will be available to buy for $1299 (£885).
Tailored for small to medium-size businesses (SMBs), HP has also introduced the Compaq S2021 Widescreen LCD Monitors and the Compaq S1922.
