HP expands cloud computing services

As part of its latest cloud computing offering, HP is to launch workshops to help enterprises make the move to the new platform.

According to the firm, the new services will address issues such as safety and accessibility, a low point so far for the platform, which has been an obstruction in getting more firms to change to cloud computing.

The company hopes that through the "Hybrid Delivery" system, on-premise systems will be connected with cloud computing services to create an "instant-on" arena for better operation.

Users will be provided information about the platform through Cloud Maps guides, and a number of Cloud Discovery Workshops aimed at enterprises will also be launched.

HP has also said that it will provide financial help to support firms to make the transition to cloud computing.

Ann Livermore, HP enterprise business executive vice president, said: "Cloud computing is going mainstream and HP is leading the way. HP has the enterprise experience, breadth of portfolio and global service delivery organisation to lead our clients through this transformation."
