Research and advisory firm Gartner has honoured HP by including the firm in its Leaders Quadrant for the latest "Magic Quadrant for Midrange and High-End Modular Disk Arrays".
According to Gartner, "leaders" are vendors that are performing well and have "ability to execute" and "completeness of vision."
Senior vice president and general manager of HP Storage David Scott said that clients are increasingly moving towards HP Storage in order to optimise traditional IT and evolve to new cloud models.
HP Converged Storage is designed to overcome the systemic failures of siloed storage designs.
It eliminates the boundaries between storage and applications, allowing users to deploy faster for less cost.
Mr Scott said: "We believe Gartner's recognition of HP as a leader in 'completeness of vision' affirms continued investment in our established storage platforms such as the EVA, while we also nurture our vision of HP Converged Storage ubiquitously servicing IT with products like our 3PAR and LeftHand Storage Systems."
