HP India capitalises on MPS success

HP India has announced plans to embrace go-to-market strategies in a bid to add value to its managed print services.

The printing giant said it hopes to capitalise on the spike in the number of companies outsourcing printing and imaging services by improving the efficiency and availability of its managed print services (MPS).

The cost-effective system has proven to be a popular choice among companies all over the world seeking to reduce the costs of upgrading and maintaining existing hardware.

Nitin Hiranandani, HP India director, said the reduced cost of consolidating print services was proving to be a "powerful motivator" for firms.

"The value of environmental savings from MPS, combined with cost and productivity improvements, is a powerful motivator for our enterprise customers in India," he said.

Mr Hiranandani said 30-35 contracts providing MPS services had been signed in the past couple of months handling 1.5-3 million pages from clients per month.
