HP introduces updated Exstream 8.0

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled its enhanced customer communication management tool Exstream 8.0 with expanded multichannel capabilities.

Introducing the updated offering at the HP Exstream User's Conference, the firm said that version 8.0 now enables assured delivery and receipt of on-demand documents.

The latest version is developed to enable global enterprises to build loyalty and form customer relationships, while also saving costs and driving top-line revenue growth.

Exstream 8.0 facilitates the addition of electronic signatures, increasing security and improving response times for critical customer communications.

More customers prefer to communicate through electronic channels such as email and SMS and so the updated version ensures the delivery of each message, HP claims.

With HP Exstream 8.0 that automatically provides delivery of a secondary communication if the first one fails, enterprises will be confident to encourage customers to choose communications in electronic formats.

Brandon Danner, application development analyst, Penn National Insurance, said: "Leveraging the multichannel capabilities in HP Exstream 8.0, we are able to produce multiple communication outputs in a single call, which increases system response time, requires less development and allows us to support faster release schedules."

He added: "Today our independent agents are using these documents to provide meaningful conversations to better explain coverage and pricing, increase referrals and boost response rates."
