Computer giant Hewlett-Packard (HP) has unveiled a number of solutions to help businesses and the telecommunication industry benefit from cloud computing, while keeping costs down.
The three services are designed to allow for increased capability and productivity.
The first service, HP Operations Orchestration uses the existing infrastructures in place within businesses, whether physical, virtual or cloud based. A "pay-as-you-go" system, known as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, is designed to allow companies increase capacity, and respond quickly to changing business needs.
The second, HP Cloud Assure, allows cloud consumers to "right size" their needs to ensure service levels are kept within budget.
Finally, HP Communications as a Service (CaaS), is aimed at small to mid-sized companies. It offers a low-cost, low-risk way to adopt cloud computing.
Frank Gens, senior vice president and chief analyst at IDC, the market intelligence provider, said cloud computing "promises enterprises of all sizes the speed and agility of a startup with the resources and scale of an enterprise".
