HP offers new IT services portfolio

Hewlett Packard (HP) has rolled out a new suite of services designed to help chief information officers (CIOs) drive innovation and growth.

The HP Strategic IT Advisory Services could help CIOs to plan and implement cloud computing solutions as well as improve enterprise architecture and service management.

With the help of the new services, firms can also cut IT costs, improve ROI and respond more quickly to changing business demands.

Arthur Filip, vice president and general manager of HP Technology Consulting, said: "When CIOs are measured against enterprise objectives, they look for partners to help them craft and implement their technology strategy."

The launch indicates that the company is keen on playing the role of a "trusted advisor" for IT directors. The new services are being offered through HP's Technology Consulting division.

The new portfolio is released primarily in response to the growing popularity of the cloud computing platform. The services will enable companies to estimate their readiness for adopting the cloud model, according to HP.
