Printing solutions company HP has been placed top in a study carried out by a leading IT research and advice provider.
IDC placed HP first overall in the Worldwide Managed Print Services 2010 Hardcopy Vendor Analysis Study.
The study found HP Managed Print Services earned high scores in both its current portfolio and strategic direction.
It also found the company was strong in providing training, and effective in its sales organisation.
John Johasky, vice president and general manager of HP Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, said: "Customers are striving to find ways to reduce costs, conserve resources and streamline workflows.
"HP provides the market with intelligent services that enable customers to be more strategic about imaging and printing."
The IDC survey also found the Open Extensibility Platform (OXP) embedded in HP's hardware devices had greatly improved performance of many products.
