Hewlett-Packard (HP) is preparing to launch new smartphones, featuring the Palm webOS mobile operating system.
The latest HP phones are likely to be introduced in the early parts of 2011.
Eric Cador, senior vice president at HP, said: "You will see us coming early next year with new phones."
It is expected that the new smartphones will include a high-resolution 800X480 display, without a keypad.
In a bid to break into the rapidly growing handset market, the firm acquired Palm in April this year for $1.2 billion. Palm unveiled the Pre mobile phone and webOS mobile operating system in June, 2009.
The webOS features significant social network and Web 2.0 integration. Its graphical user interface was specially designed for touch screen devices.
