Offices requiring all-in-one printers for a one-stop solution need look no further than the new HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus, which comes not only with a scanner but a colour touchscreen panel.
The printer can be connected to other office devices through USB 2.0 and Ethernet ports that are integrated into the machine. The device can also operate wirelessly with 802.11n wi-fi.
The Officejet Pro 8500A Plus fits in a bottom-feeding paper cartridge and comes with a phone jack for the fax system that is included in the device.
The printer is a step ahead or equivalent to many inkjet and laser contemporaries, with the inclusion of a 250-sheet input tray and a 150-sheet one, allowing it to touch a duty cycle recommendation of 15,000 pages a month.
The automatic duplex system allows paper usage to be reduced for less important documents, while a 50-sheet automatic document feeder can digitise paperwork without hassle.
The Officejet Pro 8500A Plus also packs in HP's ePrint features to make printing easier, such as the ability to link to an email address that acts on documents sent to it.
All these features are available in one package for a cost of less than $500 (£313).
