Hewlett-Packard (HP) has released the pricing and launch details for its new tablet device - the TouchPad.
According to the computer technology giant, the latest tablet will be made available for customers in the UK on July 1, while pre-orders will be accepted from June 19.
The 16GB version of the TouchPad will come with a price tag of around £399 and the 32GB model will cost about £479.
Powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, the tablet flaunts a 9.7in screen offering a resolution of 1024x768 pixels, and is seen as a contender against the Apple iPad and Android-based gadgets.
The device is equipped with webOS 3.0 and supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
It also sports the firm's Touchstone Touch-to-Share application. The proximity-based sharing feature enables compatible devices to exchange data, media files and information through Bluetooth.
The tablet weighs about 740 grams and comes with a resizable virtual keyboard.
