A new range of servers and "self funding" IT projects has been announced by Hewlett-Packard (HP).
The company said the the DL360 G7, and the DL380 G7 would pay for themselves by eliminating the need for old technology.
Martin Hess, HP's vice president of enterprise sales for the UK, claimed the new products would break the "innovation gridlock".
"In many organisations, IT is a ball and chain as a result of cumulative IT decisions," he said.
His claim comes after an earlier survey by the company revealed that managers were spending as much as 70% of their IT budget on maintaining outdated systems.
The firm also launched the latest version of its Insight Control server management software, which features a "thermal logic" feature ensuring that any overheating server will be treated as a cooling priority.
