HP to offer free cloud storage

Hewlett-Packard has teamed up with Box.net to provide cloud-based collaboration and storage tools to HP business devices.

The firm has stated that it aims to provide an "integrated collaboration experience" for managing and storing content in the cloud.

With the partnership, both firms intend to offer integrated content management and cloud storage to customers who buy select HP Compaq Elite and HP Compaq Pro business desktops via increased storage capacity and enterprise sync.

Customers who will buy a HP Compaq 6200 or 6005 Pro Series PC will find 10GB free storage space.

Those who purchase HP Compaq 8200 Elite Service PCs through HP Smart Buy will get a Box account with unlimited storage and sync, free of cost for one full year.
