HP unveils mobile ink cartridge app

Design professionals who need to print in large formats while on the go might think that all their Christmases have come at once after HP unveiled a new mobile ink cartridges application that can be used with iOS-based devices including iPhones, iPads or the iPod touch.

HP believes its ePrint & Share mobile software will enable architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) professionals to print on the move.

Santiago Morera, HP Designjet Large-Format Solutions vice president, said: "AEC design professionals are highly mobile, constantly moving between the office, the job site and offices of partners and clients. The new HP ePrint & Share mobile application allows designers to view, print and share the designs that are critical to their business, wherever they may be."

The release of HP's ePrint & Share mobile software comes not long after the company unveiled three new additions to its Scitex wide-format graphics ink cartridges range.

It also comes hot on the heels of the launch of the HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press, the HP Scitex XP5500 Industrial Printer and HP Scitex XP2500 Industrial Printer.
