HP has unveiled its latest multifunction printer capable of scanning, copying and printing simultaneously.
The Designjet T2300 eMultifunction Printer is aimed at designer and architecture firms so they can boost their output with a range of options and cloud-based printing functions.
The large-format inkbox allows complicated tasks to be carried out with ease, as was demonstrated by Gido van Praag, vice president of the Graphics Solutions Business in HP for Asia Pacific.
During the demonstration, an AutoCad file was saved into the PDF format and was 'emailed' to the printer, which accessed the internet, retrieved and processed the blueprint.
Corrections were made on the tangible printout with a pen, which was then scanned using the same device and sent back.
The edited version of the blueprint then appeared on the receiver's iPhone as a scanned file.
Though these features are already included on the Photosmart, Officejet and LaserJet series of printers from the company, this will be the first time such functions will be included on a large-format inkbox.
