Senior IT managers are being offered new tools by HP for quick and easy analysis and optimisation of network operations.
The company has released the first components of its IT Performance Suite, including an Executive Scorecard and an Information Technology Infrastructure Library.
Designed for chief information officers (CIOs) the Executive Scorecard is an interface that lists key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to the entire network, physical as well as virtual.
Currently the CIO Edition Standard software includes a total of 50 KPIs. Twenty of these come under the three modules called financial planning and analysis, project and portfolio management, and asset manager.
HP is hoping to add 100 more KPIs in future editions or upgrades to the suite, which also comes with cloud functionality.
Piet Loubser, senior director of product marketing at HP, said: "We did a very low key release of this six months ago, but this is our coming out to the market.
"It's a home-grown system, but open to other vendors, who can create additional KPIs."
