HP unveils printers and scanner

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has unveiled two new printers, the LaserJet Pro P1102 and M1212nf multi-function printer (MFP), which concentrate on low power consumption and reduced paper usage.

The P1102 is a compact printer, which comes with the firm's energy saving technology called Auto-On/Auto-Off (AOAO).

During times of no print activity, this technology puts the printer in standby mode - making it use just 1-watt of power.

Meanwhile, users can fax documents directly from a computer using the M1212nf printer's PC Fax application.

Other specifications of the MFP include an ID Copy, allowing users to scan both sides of a card and get it printed on a single sheet of paper. Also included is an AOAO facility.

And the company has introduced the Scanjet Professional 1000 mobile scanner, which allows users to scan documents on the go.

It can scan two-sided documents in a range of sizes and thickness, while also storing them in different formats, including a PDF or Word file.

The Pro P1102 and Scanjet mobile scanner come with a price tag of RM399 (£84) and RM719 (£152) respectively.
