Hewlett-Packard (HP) has introduced a new series of web-connected laser printers with remote printing options.
The new innovations include a 7-inch detachable touchscreen tablet, which is wirelessly connected to the Internet, the California-based company revealed
The tablet offers access to Barnes & Noble's eBookstore, customised content from Yahoo, and the ability to fax without requiring a phone line, the printer-manufacturing giant added.
Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of HP's imaging and printing group, said: "HP is unleashing innovation and has once again made the future a reality.
"We have transformed the flow of content for all customers letting them access, share, print and manage content virtually anytime or anywhere in the world."
The company said new options allow direct printing from Apple devices like the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone using the iOS 4.2 AirPrint.
