HP has unveiled VirtualSystem for VMware.
VirtualSystem, which enables users to buy whatever they require for a cloud-optimised networking and get it shipped to them in the cabinet it stands in, was launched by the hardware giant earlier this year.
But the compatibility remained on the Microsoft and Citrix-based systems.
The new VirtualSystem is optimised for the VMware vSphere 5 designed as a solution to expedite virtualised infrastructure implementation and act as a foundation for private clouds.
The solution is modular and easily optimised for midsize businesses, HP said.
"We are very much around the infrastructure, the physicality, the equipment itself; VMware's technology is very much around managing the virtual environments," said HP official David Chalmers.
