The much-awaited Lexmark Genesis has been called "one of the most striking devices" by David Gilbert at Trusted Reviews, adding more anticipation to the yet-to-be-released device.
Genesis, which has not yet hit UK markets, was previewed by Mr Gilbert at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and he was visibly stunned.
He said: "The speed of the 'scanning' really was impressive and is something which really makes the Genesis stand out from other printers."
The device makes use of Flash Scan which allows users to get immediate previews of documents before they are printed. With a user friendly touch screen, the procedure is made even easier, and a fast scanner as a result of a 10 megapixel image sensor only makes the device more attractive.
The Genesis is also connected to the internet, allowing users to email with "one-touch" facilities.
If the cartridge if out of one particular colour, the whole set will not have to be replaced, thanks to the new system. Users will only have to replace the individual cartridge to get the device functioning again, according to Mr Gilbert.
