Linoprint has unveiled a new compact system for multi-colour, high-resolution printing on a wide variety of packaging materials.
DriveLine B, introduced by Linoprint's exclusive North American representatives Griffin-Rutgers, is a standalone system that employs high-resolution drop-on-demand ink jet technology.
It can be used to print labels and web stocks on a range of substrates including paper, aluminium and plastics.
There is an option to customise the system for the substrate, which means high-quality printing is possible on materials that are flexible and elastic, as well as ones that are highly sensitive to pressure or temperature.
The material used is guided around a cooled handing drum below the print heads to avoid stretching and to give a smooth print.
DriveLine B is capable of handling short runs, long runs, language changes, serialisation, linear and 2D codes, as well as security and anti-counterfeiting measures.
