New location for print firm Epson

Following 20 years of residence at its Maylands Avenue location, digital print equipment manufacturer Epson has relocated to a new site in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire.

The firm's new Westside facility will house more than 250 Epson UK and Europe staff, as well as a revamped demonstration area and facilities to run the manufacturer's 'Print Academy' courses.

The Westside location features many measures to help protect the environment, including lighting fitted with movement sensors, reduced energy usage, and air conditioning units with energy sourced from renewable sources.

The company's measures tie into its Environmental Vision 2050, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 90% across the life cycle of all products and services by the year 2050.
