HP has announced a new upgrade package for its Scitex XP2300 Printer, coming with new features.
Print service providers (PSPs) who install the latest upgrade will be able to use a single ink to print a variety of applications, getting either a glossy or a matte finish, helping them cut the time taken to switch inks.
This is possible with the help of the new billboard print modes, designed for HP Specialty Billboard Scitex Inks.
These new modes will make direct printing on cheaper banner materials possible.
Together with the upgrade, users will also be able to get assistance and guidance for preventative maintenance and resolution of technical issues with the help of HP Scitex Print Care.
Yariv Avisar, vice president and general manager, Scitex Large-format Solutions, HP, said: "The upgrade package allows our customers to create a competitive advantage with more a productive, cost-effective UV solution that also reduces the impact of printing on the environment."
