Printing method 'could cut costs'

A design agency claims its new printing technique could save many firms thousands of pounds.

LFH said its patented colour rationalisation technology 'Chapter 1' can reduce the number of inks used by a brand to six - without quality being affected.

It claims the technique could save between £625 (700 Euro) and  £5,355 (6,000 Euro) per product.

And it estimated a multinational company could save between £15.6m (17.5m Euro) and £134m (150m Euro) a year.

The claims come after a review of customers who have used the pioneering method.

It has been used by clients including Sarah Lee, for its Pretty Polly tights range, Wenneker cocktails drinks and Unilever Foods.

Mano Manoharan, LFH joint managing director, said: "In the current economic climate, brands are having to work harder and smarter to maintain profitability.

"There are not many cost saving initiatives that can deliver this level of visible benefits."
