Park Communications has upped its production capacity by investing in a Xerox DocuColor 8000 and DocuColor 8002 digital colour press.
The purchase follows a "buoyant" start to the year for the firm, with bosses more optimistic about the future than at any time since the formation of the company in 1991.
The presses will join and complement its existing mono Heidelberg Digimasters and Xerox colour equipment.
Alison Branch, managing director at Park Communications, said the move was made in response to client demand.
"Some clients are using a larger number of media communications and as a result, require print in shorter runs and in fewer copies," she said, adding: "We'll often use digital print to produce advance copies of a job before production in longer runs."
Park, which added 1,021m2 of space to its London facility last year, ended the year in profit and added nearly £3 million in sales over the 12 months.
"All indications suggest that 2010 is going to be another challenging year, but encouragingly we have had the most buoyant January and February since 1991," Branch added.
