New research has shown that Original HP LaserJet toner cartridges outperform non-HP toner cartridges in all areas.
The study, carried out by QualityLogic 2010, compared the performance of HP toner cartridges with 216 non-HP cartridges from nine other brands across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
It found that Original HP toner cartridges exhibited no failings when combining all problem categories, compared to an average of 41.7% for the non-HP cartridges.
In terms of printing, 97% of all Original HP sample pages were deemed acceptable, compared to just under two thirds (61%) for the non-HP cartridges.
According to the study, of the 216 non-HP cartridges tested, 87 produced pages in which more than half were considered unacceptable for business purpose, or only usable for internal use.
During testing, it was found that Original HP print cartridges demonstrated solid toner adhesion, while pages printed using non-HP toner cartridges had issues with bonding to the paper.
In addition, the pages printed use non-HP cartridges produced lighter graphics.
Luis Casado, marketing director at HP laserJet & enterprise solutions said: "The results of the study demonstrate that Original HP supplies consistently deliver more professional-quality pages and in turn a more productive business environment than non-HP toner cartridges."
He added: "With every purchase of Original HP supplies, HP customers are provided with a return on investment they can rely on."
