Xerox 56th most valuable brand

One of the most highly-rated survey lists by CEOs has listed printing giant Xerox as the 56th most valuable brand in the world.

The annual list from Business Week and Interbrand revealed a 1% rise in Xerox's brand value. The list is ranked just behind the Fortune 500 and Best Companies to Work For and is third on PR Week's survey of lists considered most useful by CEOs.

"In 2009 Xerox was one of only three to grow their brand values," said Tanya Moodley, divisional manager of group marketing at Bytes Document Solutions.

"Direct competitors, Dell and Canon, were particularly hard hit," she said. "Two of Xerox's traditional competitors, Toshiba and Ricoh, have never made the list."

Bytes is the authorised Xerox distributor to 27 sub-Saharan countries. Xerox, which is listed in the computer hardware category alongside Apple, Canon, Dell, HP, and Intel, is the only brand in the sector without a major B2C offering or presence.
