Xerox has signed a new deal with telecoms giant BT to help reduce Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's print and office costs.
Under the multi-million pound agreement, the two companies aim to slash the local authority's print services by up to 30%.
As part of the five-year project, the council will also be offered a new strategy on how to become more efficient in cutting costs.
Amanda Abernethy, director and general manager in global document outsourcing at Xerox UK, said: "Working in partnership with BT, we will focus on streamlining the council's print environment to meet its cost-saving targets and environmental agenda, so Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council can focus on its business of improving and transforming frontline services for citizens."
Xerox recently won a contract from Morrisons supermarket to enhance its print and marketing resources.
The deal is expected to help customers to receive and understand promotional information in a more convenient manner.
