Xerox buys MPS reseller NewField IT
Xerox's acquisition of British print consultancy and software solution provider NewField IT is expected to boost its market-leading managed print services (MPS) portfolio.
With the new addition, Xerox will be able to help all range of businesses from large to small, improve cost savings and realise the efficiency benefits of MPS faster than ever before.
NewField IT's consulting and software services help firms implement MPS more quickly.
Visual maps of floor plans generated by its Asset DB software suite can monitor the utilisation patterns of related equipment like copiers and printers in any office space.
Workplaces will be able to streamline the utility of devices and the overall print-related costs by combining such visual mapping with a database that tracks usage patterns of document devices.
"NewField IT's Asset DB is a user-friendly software, which speeds up some MPS implementations by up to four times. This will accelerate the return on the MPS investment for all our clients, helping boost business growth as they reinvest the costs savings into other areas of the business," said Dan Smith, head of Integrated Marketing for the Middle East and Africa region of Xerox's Developing Markets Operations.
