Xerox launches new 8080 printer

Xerox has released a new digital press printer which it says will help firms slash their costs.

It announced the DocuColor 8080 Digital Press in a statement, citing its harnessing of productivity apps; low gloss dry ink; and Automated Colour Quality Suite (ACQS).

The statement suggested that these characteristics are now the hallmark of a high-quality printer, with Xerox's latest offering tackling jobs ranging from direct mail to calendars.

JP Teti, manager, production technology Xerox, Middle East and Africa, said: "Our focus is to help customers produce more jobs, reduce costs and grow their business. The DocuColor 8080 was built with this in mind."

Firms opting for the new DocuColour will be able to select the print server which bests matches their demands - be they calendars, custom covers or flip presentations.
