Document management firm Xerox has introduced an entry-level digital printer offering both colour and mono output, ideal for offices.
The Xerox colour 550/560 printer, available in two configurations, uses the proprietary low-melt emulsion aggregate (EA) toner and is capable of printing at resolutions of up to 2,400dpi.
The printer manufacturer said the 550 model offers print speeds of 50ppm in colour and 55ppm in mono, while the 650 can print at 60ppm and 65ppm for the two outputs respectively.
The company says the printer's abilities to scan, copy - and fax and its in-line finishing features such as stapling, hole-punching and booklet making - make it ideal for copy shops, small commercial print firms, and businesses.
Malcolm Glynn, product marketing manager for Xerox in the UK and Ireland, said: "The Xerox Colour 550/560 is perfect for the print service provider responding quickly to high-value application demands or the office professional requiring security and workflow features to manage documents more efficiently.
"We've taken the most sought-after elements of digital printing and built a solution that can integrate into any print environment."
