Xerox launches new print service

Xerox is to provide a new print service to help companies manage their documents globally, it has been announced.

The enterprise print service (EPS) will help companies take control of documents across their global operations - from the office to the print centre and the virtual workplace.

The service, which will extend Xerox's position in the managed print services (MPS) market, will reduce the cost of printing, sharing and updating documents of any size, the company confirmed. It is thought that EPS will help firms meet budgets and deadlines while also keeping an eye on the environment.

Ken Weilerstein, VP, research at Gartner, said: "By expanding MPS beyond the office walls, organisations have total control over company-wide print spend. This is significant because internal and external print shop costs can often exceed office printing spend, so optimising across all print environments will uncover even more sources of cost savings."
