Xerox has strengthened its mobile print service with the addition of EFI's real-time cloud printing solution.
With EFI PrintMe, workers on the move can easily print documents on any Xerox multi-function printer from anywhere using a portable gadget such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
All they need to do is upload the document or email it to a secure PrintMe site which generates a specific ID code.
Workers can use the code to remotely activate the job on any Xerox printer that supports the Extensible Interface Platform.
Elizabeth Fox, vice president of Xerox solutions business unit, said: "We want to give our customers as many mobile print options as possible to meet their needs wherever business takes them.
"Xerox's Mobile Print Solution allows workers to print from email-enabled smartphones, tablets and laptops - confidentially and on-demand. Public cloud printing through EFI PrintMe is a great addition to our offering."
EFI senior vice president Toby Wiess added: "EFI has provided mobile print solutions for almost a decade.
"We're advancing our leadership position with a new, simple way for Xerox customers to print anywhere without hassle."
