Xerox offers new digital printer

Xerox has launched a new digital colour production printer, claiming it is great for creating direct mail, booklets and marketing material.

The new DocuColor 8080 Digital Press is capable of printing documents at a rate of 80 pages per minute.

The device is equipped with the firm's Automated Colour Quality Suite, which is specifically developed to boost production tasks.

Eric Armour, president of the graphic communications business group at Xerox, said: "Our focus is to help customers produce more jobs, reduce costs and grow their business. The DocuColour 8080 was built with this in mind."

William Pollard & Co, an Essex-based company, recently adopted a Xerox iGen4 Press and Xerox FreeFlow system to help accelerate the document production process as well as reduce manufacturing costs.

Dennis Mason, deputy managing director at the firm, said the new printer ink device would help save more than £50,000 a year.
