Document management firm Xerox remains the dominant player in managed print services (MPS) market after experiencing strong growth last year, Gartner has said.
The firm achieved double-digit growth in 2010, Gartner said, and was boosted by the fact that many firms view it as the first port of call for their print document management solutions.
Xerox was also officially ranked number one for global market share by Gartner after it said it achieved 33% of MPS revenues last year.
On top of this, Gartner placed it in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2011 Magic Quadrant for MPS Worldwide.
Stephen Cronin, president, Xerox Global Document Outsourcing, said the firm's focus on putting customer needs at the heart of its business strategies was paying off.
He said: "We believe our position in the market is confirmed not only by analyst rankings but also through the return on investment and real business benefits our customers realize by taking a simpler and more effective approach to their document management."
