Xerox has signed up as fleet sponsor of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race which starts off from Southampton this year.
In its role as sponsor and global business partner, the firm will provide print management services to Clipper 11-12 organisers for the duration of the race.
It will meet the print needs of all racing-related publications, ranging from newsletters to sales and marketing material.
The 10 ocean racing yachts taking part in the race will carry the Xerox logo as they sail 40,000 miles round the globe for nearly a year, making 15 stopovers across six continents.
Darrell Minards, head of marketing communications at Xerox Europe, said: "The Clipper Race is the longest global ocean event of its kind and one of the truly great sporting challenges.
"Through our sponsorship, we're using Xerox people, products and services to help the race organizers navigate the unpredictability of pulling off an event of this scale."
The participating teams will set off on July 31 from Southampton, sailing to Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, the west and east coasts of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Qingdao, California, New York, Nova Scotia, Derry-Londonderry and the Netherlands, before returning on July 22, 2012.
