Xerox wins INGEDE certification

A number of multifunction devices, based on Xerox's printer ink technology, have been awarded the International Association of the Deinking Industry (INGEDE) certification.

The firm won the 'good de-inkability' award for its iGen4 Digital Press, 700 Digital Colour Press and Colour 800/1000 devices.

The INGEDE rating was given to Xerox following analysis of five key factors - luminosity, colour, cleanliness, ink elimination and filtrate darkening.

In order to attain the good de-inkability status, the devices were required to score more than 90 out of 100 in the given categories.

The company has recently launched its ColourQube 9300 series of multifunction printers with solid ink technology.

The devices offer print speeds of up to 55 pages per minute, and include easy to use features.

Robert Palmer, director of infotrends digital peripherals consulting services at the company, said: "The new Xerox ColorQube MFPs deliver the cost savings businesses have come to expect from solid ink technology."
